Keep Your Identity Safe With LifeLock

When they detect information about one of their clients, they proceed to inform their customer that their information has been compromised. This allows you, the customer, to react accordingly and cancel your debit and credit cards before they are used fraudulently. It also lets you know that you need to change your passwords at every website you frequent, especially your banking and email passwords.

Without an advance warning system like this, the likelihood of having your identity stolen increases. I consider this the absolute best feature of LifeLock’s service since its something that people realistically can’t do on their own.

My Favorite Feature #2 – Credit and Public Record Monitoring

The second best thing, in my opinion, that LifeLock offers is the advanced credit report, bank account, and public record monitoring of your financial data. Whenever loans are applied for or large transactions appear that may be suspicious, the service will notify the customer and take action to close down any fraudulent activity.

They will assist you with placing fraud alerts on your credit report so that your report is essentially “locked down” to prevent further credit actions from occurring. If your identity is truly stolen, they will help you repair the damage and get back to a state of normalcy very quickly. It can be very costly to repair the damage of a stolen identity, and LifeLock does a great job of helping you step-by-step to pick up the pieces.

Sleep an Extra Hour Per Night – This one might sound counter-intuitive, but one great way to avoid eating those late-night snacks that only add extra calories to your diet is to simply go to bed earlier. Getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night is ideal for most people (everyone varies in this, but 7 to 8 hours is a good target), and getting the proper amount of shuteye is very important to your metabolism.

Also, your body builds muscle while you sleep, so making sure that you get enough is crucial. You’d hate for those 30 minutes spent at the gym to go wasted.

Crunches and Push-Ups – Aim to do at least 40 crunches and 40 push-ups per day. If you’re already doing that many, then aim for 40 more than you do normally. The push-ups will tone your arms and shoulders, while the crunches will target your core abdominal muscles.

One great way to force yourself to get into that routine is to do 10 of each every time you use the restroom. It’s often tough to find time in your day to do a full workout, but it’s dead-simple to take a few minutes extra on a restroom break to give your body a quick workout. If you work in an office, find a low-traffic area, but if anyone asks, just tell them that you’re getting into shape and you might even start a trend or competition in your office!

Eat 5 Meals Per Day – You may have heard about this technique before, and it actually works! But, the key is that your 5 meals need to be smaller meals than your regular 2 or 3 meals. The science behind this theory is that your body stays busy all day long processing your last meal, so your metabolism stays high, causing you to burn more calories over the course of a day than you normally would.

This can sometimes be tricky, especially if you like to go out to restaurants for lunch or dinner. If you do go out, just eat smaller portions while you are there and take home the rest of your meal for later. You can still eat the same amount, but you’ll burn more calories if you space out the meal over a few hours.

Eat Slower, Smarter, and Don’t Skip Breakfast – Want to know a major tip that most fitness experts won’t tell you? Up to 80% of a person’s weight loss is due to their diet. That’s right, 80%. You can do all the crunches, sit-ups, push-ups, and lunges that you can, but if you are eating fast food burgers and fries for every meal, then you are simply not going to lose any weight.

If you want to lose weight quickly, the easiest way to do it is to eat less. This doesn’t mean starve yourself, but you need to cut back on your food intake compared to how many calories you burn. A pound is roughly 3,500 calories, so if you want to lose 2 pounds per week (about the maximum healthy weight loss rate), then you need to burn 7,000 more calories than you take in each week. This might seem like a lot, but that’s only 1,000 fewer calories per day, or 500 fewer calories per day combined with 500 extra calories burned working out.

If you eat your meals slower, turn off the TV while eating, and remember to eat a light, healthy breakfast, then you are well on your way to quick and healthy weight loss! Always remember to consult your physician before starting any serious weight loss or exercise program!

Starting out at a slow pace then turning on the heat for short boosts has been shown to produce very positive results. If your workout can target multiple muscle groups at once, then you should notice the pounds shedding away even more quickly.

Drink Only Water – It may sound simple, but people forget that sodas, energy drinks, smoothies, light beer, and juices all contain hundreds of calories. If water alone is too bland for you, add some mint leaves, or lemon or lime wedges. Tea and coffee are often good substitutes if you can avoid the temptation to add milk, honey, or other sweeteners.

Something I hear constantly is that people think their thighs are too flabby, their hips are too big, or their belly is too large. How would you like to lose thirty pounds in virtually no time at all? You’ll have to commit to a workout schedule that works for you, but I’m positive that you’ll lose that fat belly if you follow these simple steps.

Exercise #1: Stationary Bike (Toning Target: Thighs and Hips)

Biking is an excellent cardiovascular exercise as well as being incredibly fun and enjoyable. When targeting your thighs and hips, focus on higher-resistance levels. For regular bikes, this means you should find a hilly area to ride. For stationary bikes, you can generally adjust the resistance level.

30 minutes per workout is ideal for the stationary bike. The higher the resistance level, the more effective the workout will be, so start low, then work your way up.

Exercise #2 – Jogging, Running, Or Power Walking (Toning Target: Thighs, Hips, and Abdomen)

The average person only walks about a quarter of a mile per day. The average walking speed is about 3 miles per hour. Ideally, you should jog at least 5-6 miles per hour if you want to target the majority of your muscle groups to lose weight quickly.

You should walk or jog 30 minutes per day in order to hit your target of losing 30 pounds. Keep your aim that high, but if you are unable to maintain that level of activity, it’s perfectly okay. Any level of activity is better than none.

Exercise #3 – Hula Hoops (Toning Target: Abs and Hips)

As strange as it may seem, hula hooping is an excellent exercise for losing weight. You can find adult-sized hula hoops at Amazon.com, or at your local general retail outlets.

Hula hooping for any length of time will benefit you, but try to aim for 20 minutes of constant motion.

Dietary Tips for Losing 30 Pounds

The most important thing to remember in order to lose weight quickly is that you must consume less Calories than you burn each day! A pound of weight is roughly equivalent to 3500 Calories, so if you want to lose 30 pounds, then you need to lose a net amount of 30 * 3500 = 105,000 Calories.

This might seem like a lot, but if you were able to lose an average of 1,000 Calories per day, then it would take you about 100 days to lose 30 pounds. That’s only a little over 3 months, and is a very reasonable and healthy pace for that amount of weight loss. If you attempt to lose the weight faster than that, and you’re liable to end up gaining it all back and them some.
